World Justice Challenge
We are proud to announce that WJI has been selected as a finalist in this year’s World Justice Challenge: Advancing the Rule of Law in a Time of Crisis, a global competition to promote good practices and high-impact projects that protect and advance the rule of law.
This year, the World Justice Project and its partners have selected 30 finalists from a pool of 425 submissions from 114 countries. These projects were chosen for their demonstrated impact in advancing the rule of law in areas affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, including access to justice for all.
Stay tuned for how you can support WJI in the competition!
International Women’s Day
Earlier this month, on March 8, we celebrated International Women’s Day. The theme this year was “Choose to Challenge,” encouraging us all to speak out against inequality and societal structures that keep women from reaching their fullest potential. At WJI, we proudly choose to challenge harmful norms regarding child marriage and violence against women and girls each and every day. Thank you standing with us.
Annual Board Retreat
Last month, our Board convened for its annual retreat. The group discussed lessons and successes from this year (including WJI’s COVID-19 response), as well as plans for organizational growth, expansion into new communities, and the introduction of new technologies. We are so grateful for our Board and their support of our work to empower women and girls.
