Speaking Up: The UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women’s audio series

In 2017, as part of the United Nations Trust Fund to End Violence Against Women's audio series, Speaking Up, WJI shared the story of Gabriela, a woman from Patzún.

Gabriela and her son had faced years of abuse from her former partner. When she fell into depression and needed support, she received a visit from Viviana, a lawyer at WJI. A generous grant from the UN Trust Fund to End Violence Against women supported WJI's Legal Services Program for several years.
